Best First-Time Route

Take L4 to Barceloneta. Walk along Pg. de Joan de Borbó and cross the Port Vell footbridge toward Maremagnum. Follow signs to L’Aquàrium.

From La Rambla

From Drassanes (L3) or Columbus Monument, stroll the waterfront (Moll de la Fusta) and cross the bridge to Maremagnum; the aquarium is just beyond.

Option 1 — From Plaça de Catalunya (City Center)

Great if you’re near La Rambla, Eixample, or arriving via Aerobús.

  • Metro (fast): L3 to Drassanes then walk 12–15 min via the waterfront to Port Vell.
  • Walk (scenic): 25–30 min down La Rambla → Columbus Monument → Port Vell footbridge.
  • Aerobús A1/A2: Ends at Plaça de Catalunya — continue by L3 or walk as above.

Tickets

A Zone-1 single covers metro/bus in the center; frequent riders can use T-casual (10 rides) or Hola Barcelona cards.

Option 2 — Metro & Train (Easiest for Most Visitors)

Barceloneta (L4)

Closest station. Cross the pedestrian bridge toward Maremagnum; the aquarium entrance is signposted.

Drassanes (L3)

Good from the green line/La Rambla. Walk along the waterfront past the Columbus Monument to Port Vell.

Estació de França (Rodalies)

If arriving by suburban train, it’s a pleasant 18–20 min walk via Pg. d’Isabel II and the marina.

Bus Options

Lines like V17, H14, 47, 59 stop nearby (Pg. de Colom / Pla de Palau). Walk 8–12 min to the footbridge.

Wayfinding

Look for Maremagnum mall signs and the “L’Aquàrium” logo along the pier at Moll d’Espanya.

Option 3 — Buses & Scenic Walks

Buses along Pg. de Colom and Pla de Palau leave a short seaside walk. On busy days, walking the marina can be quicker and more pleasant than surface traffic.

  • Pla de Palau → Aquarium: 10–12 min via Pg. d’Isabel II and the Port Vell footbridge.
  • Barceloneta Beach → Aquarium: 15–18 min harbor walk with great views of the marina.

Sunset across the marina and the glass footbridge makes a perfect shot before or after your visit.
